20 Feb Aspirations Day
Over the last few weeks, as part of our Collective acts of Worship, we have as a whole school been looking at aspirations. Teaching a broad and balanced curriculum is very important to us at Holy Trinity and therefore exposing the children to the different career paths that each subject may lead them to and how they could get to that point is something we feel is conducive to well-rounded and inspired pupils, who have a wide range of opportunities.
As a result of this, and in particular for Year 6, where their time of transition is approaching, we felt that it would be a great opportunity for a range of people, in different professions to provide insight into their careers. On Friday 23rd February, eight volunteers from a plethora of industries are coming into talk to Year 5 and 6 about how they got into their industries; the qualifications they need and how to fulfil their job roles. In groups the children will rotate around people from industries such as the NHS; retail and marketing; infrastructure; engineering and many more.
We are looking forward to an insightful and fun packed day that allows the children to see the world of opportunity that lies ahead of them.
