20 Dec Christmas Eco Extravaganza!
On Wednesday, Holy Trinity’s creative flair was on show as each year group showcased and sold their Christmas creations at this year’s Christmas Eco Fair. Innovative designs created from re-purposed materials ranged from jigsaw puzzle tree decorations, sock snowmen paperweights, straw decorations and delicious chocolate truffles beautifully presented in decorated boxes! The excitement was palpable in the school hall as children bought last minute gifts from each year group, baubles, marshmallow snowmen and other treats from PFOS and eagerly took their chances in the hamper and gift raffles. This year’s Christmas Eco Fair was another success and fun was had by all the staff, the children and their families. Well done to the Eco Council for their success and a big thank you for helping us raise £495 which will go towards our eco goals with a donation made to Sutton Mencap.
The range of Christmas container competition entries was impressive and the Eco Council had a hard job deciding the winners. The standard this year was incredibly high and the thoughtfulness, imagination and time that has gone into this year’s entries is outstanding. After much deliberation, the Eco Council decided to award 1st place winning a £15 Amazon voucher to Jakub Jankowski in Poplar for his pasta Christmas tree, 2nd place winning a £10 Amazon voucher to Kamira Hagan in Cedar for her representation of the stable and 3rd place winning a £5 Amazon voucher to Tara Kolahi in Elm for her Santa’s sleigh creation. A massive well done to all those that took part!
Finally, a huge thanks for all your donations for the Christmas Eco Fair and for the foodbank donations. Your generosity will make a difference to the lives of our local community as we think of those around us, especially at this special time of year.
