08 Mar Brilliant Book Week!
Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed Book Week!
Well done to all those children and staff who took a #shelfie. This is a photo of their bookshelf either with or without themselves in shot. its been fascinating to see what everyone reads! There’s still time to send them in to add to our display.
On Tuesday there was a wonderful performance of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. What a treat! Thank you to PFOS for funding this.
Huge thanks to those who came to read to the children on Wednesday; they really enjoyed that and it was lovely!
World Book Day on the 7th saw a fabulous array of book characters!
We have been running a writing competition – a short story of only 250 words. Congratulations to all who took part. Winners of this competition will be announced soon.
During Book Week you will have received information about how to explore a wide range of books with your child. The ‘Great Book Guide’ listing the 100 best books from 2018, as chosen by the Book Trust charity, is available on the school website along with a limited number of paper copies available from the school office. You will also have information about LoveReading4Kids and LoveReading4Schools, both of which will be an invaluable resource for finding books to entertain, excite and expand your child’s imagination
