27 Mar Steve McQueen Year 3 Tate project
On Monday 25th March Tate visited Year 3 for part 2 of the Steve McQueen Tate Year 3 project which aims to capture tens of thousands of Year 3 school children in a milestone year of their development. In Autumn, the Tate visited the school to take a pictures of the children which will be displayed in the Tate Britain next year. Yesterday, the Year 3 children added to this archive by thinking about their future selves. They created a time vault filled with their aspirations and questions for the future. This will be kept in Year 4 until they visit the Tate Britain next year. They also created flags representing their future selves and wishes which were displayed proudly for parents to view in the afternoon. The Year 3 children really enjoyed the second part of this mind-provoking project and cannot wait to be a part of history and reflect on their young selves.
