05 Apr Purple, Pink and Golden Yellow by Kamira Hagan – Year 5
There you are. Sitting in a creepy corridor with your best friend, that you have known for AGES, who is shivering recklessly. They are after you both, to hunt, to find, to kill. The silence is ominous with a complete absence of sound. A large drop of sweat dripped from your crease, worried forehead although you try not to panic. Almost impossibly, your friend stopped shaking but you both knew they were coming. Your not-so-worried friend pressed something on his watch and the room started to glow. Purples, pinks and golden yellows filled the air as your body begins to feel lighter. You hold each other’s hand tightly as you start to drift somewhere unknown. Your face meets the ground with a deafening thud. You look up almost reluctantly and see something incredible except you can’t find you friend anywhere. It was as if you had stepped through a portal to somewhere amazing. Where are they though? Your friend. Gone. They’ll be fine, you decide. Time to explore! You still fear the following creatures but you’ll be fine…Right? There’s a small village near you but oddly enough no one’s human. Suddenly a sack is thrown over your head. Then you realise it. THAT DESPICABLE TRAITOR!!!
