03 Dec Year 3 Ancient Egyptian Day
On Wednesday Year 3 were immersed into the wonders of Ancient Egypt. The children started their day by creating their own elaborate Egyptian collars using gold paint and jewels. Then they created their own patterned Egyptian headpiece using bright colours. The Year 3’s taste buds were tickled when they enthusiastically tried typical Ancient Egyptian foods such as pomegranate, beans, flat bread and raisins. These foods were well received and gained critical acclaim! Then they learnt the art of hieroglyphics to decode messages. In the afternoon, the children were treated to a fantastic immersive theatre workshop where children took part in recreating life in Ancient Egypt. A spectacular, fun day was had by all!
