04 Jul District Sports 2019
On Wednesday 3rd July, Holy Trinity took part in this year’s District Sports event. We entered into the 200m sprint, 100m sprint and our favourite, the 4×100 relay. Each year group had a girls team and boys team that raced against many other schools to compete for the winning trophies. We had some AMAZING results with most of our teams securing a place in the relay finals. Our stand out teams were the Year 3 boys racing away with first place and our Year 4 girls pulling back from second to beat another team to first place in both of their finals. Due to our successful relays and sprints, Holy Trinity finished in second place overall, sending us home with three incredible trophies!
We were excited and nervous to go to District Sports. We left school at 12 o’clock and when we got there, we waited for the races to start. My year 4 boys relay team came 2nd in the final and the year 4 girls relay team came 1st in their final. Everyone cheered and we were all happy. All the other teams did very well too. Also year 4 girls and year 3 boys won a trophy for their relay races. Gracie won her first 200m race and got into the final. We all had a good time and a big thank you to Miss Willis, Miss Alexander and Miss Porter for helping. Harry Rains (Spruce class).
Well done to all of our runners for competing. It was a great afternoon, that was enjoyed by all!
Thank you also to the parents for coming to support, we really appreciate it.
