15 Nov Egyptian day!
On Tuesday Year 3 were immersed into the wonders of Ancient Egypt. They started their day by creating their own elaborate Egyptian collars using pasta and different coloured squares. Then they learnt the art of hieroglyphics to decode messages and design their own cartouche. The Year 3’s taste buds were tickled when they enthusiastically tried typical Ancient Egyptian foods such as pomegranate, beans, flat bread, melon and raisins. These foods were well received and gained critical acclaim! In the afternoon the children were treated to a fantastic immersive theatre workshop where children took part in recreating life in Ancient Egypt. A spectacular, fun day was had by all! After their Stunning Starter to introduce the topic, the Year 3 children are really looking forward to learning more about Ancient Egypt.
