At Holy Trinity CofE Junior School, we believe that reading and writing underpin the entire curriculum. The skills we learn in English contribute to the progress and attainment of pupils in all subjects.

At Holy Trinity our maths lessons have a core focus on children developing their understanding of the fluency skills that underpin mathematical concepts. For each learning point, we ensure that the children are exposed to a variety of representations including concrete, pictorial and abstract to aid fluency.

At Holy Trinity, our science lessons encourage children to explore the wonder of the fascinating world and the universe we live in.

Both physical and mental well-being are an important part of life at Holy Trinity through encouraging active lifestyles and healthy attitudes as well as nurturing the awareness of our own bodies and the world around us.

At Holy Trinity we believe in no barriers to learning in Art. We strive to develop techniques in a fun and creative environment where there is no right or wrong. 

Our DT lessons allow children to creatively and imaginatively design and make a range of structures, mechanisms, electrical systems, textiles and food products.

Our music curriculum aims to develop in pupils an enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of music, recognising the important roles that music plays in our diverse histories, cultures and communities.

RHE is at the core of what we do and enables our children to become independent, confident, resilient healthy and responsible members of society with developing teamwork skills. It also develops each learner intellectually, morally, socially and spiritually (applying SMSC values).

Our MFL curriculum aims to develop in pupils an interest in learning other languages in a way that is enjoyable and stimulating.

At Holy Trinity, our Computing lessons aim to give pupils life-skills that will allow them to understand and utilise technology safely and responsibly.

History at Holy Trinity inspires pupils’ curiosity through engaging lessons and activities, challenging and stimulating independent tasks which help the children to organise and communicate their learning, historical trips and immersive history workshops.
