Our parents had the following to say in a recent Year 3 transition questionnaire.
We’ve asked our parents, past and present to let us know their thoughts on the school:
“Our youngest child is now also leaving the safe auspices of Holy Trinity. We reflect on the last 4 years and look at the end product, our son who leaves primary school a happier, more socially confident child who has made their mark and being able to demonstrate their academic potential.
Its been a rocky road for us all but Holy Trinity have been so supportive along the way. We found if you invest in the relationship then you will be rewarded.
There will always be challenges but its how you come together and deal with them that makes the difference.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Holy Trinity family for their obvious care and devotion. May you all continue your success.” – Jacob
“Our children have been through Holy Trinity school with one finishing this year. Our children are very different to each other in terms of learning and needs. Everyone at the school has been incredible in supporting our children’s growth through their very different journeys. The school leaders and staff are dedicated in all they do and care about what they and the children achieve. It’s clear how the school’s values and vision are integrated into all areas of community life and the curriculum. Thank you Team HT for all you do. ” – Solmaz
“Holy Trinity CofE Junior School has a special place in our hearts. My son has been very happy there and has had a varied and balanced education. The Teachers and Senior Leaders are friendly and open and communication is effective. We are all sad to move on but know my son has been fully prepared to take his next steps into Secondary School life. Thank you Holy Trinity!” – Lucia
“My son has just finished his first year at Holy Trinity. We had some apprehensions coming in about how easy the change of school would be but they have turned out to be completely unfounded.
Every single member of staff is invested in the children: the fact that the office and facilities staff all know the children and go out of their way to do what they can to make the children’s time at school as safe and beneficial as possible, shows the ethos that runs through the school.
There is always a mixture of staff at the gates in the morning and they are always happy to engage with the children and speak with the parents. At the end of the day, the teachers are also happy to talk, and make sure to highlight any successes as well as raise concerns.
The teaching staff are all incredibly kind and caring; they work with the children and engage them in learning so it’s something the children want to do, rather than something they have to endure. They recognise that there are more ways to measure success than grades or test scores, and always champion the children, celebrating progress and building their confidence which is just as crucial to a child’s progression as academic success.
The senior staff are equally as engaged as the rest of the staff; they don’t just sit in offices or meetings, but actually man the school gates, do playground duty, attend school events and take time to know the children and the parents and step in as and when needed to ensure the staff have the support they need.
You can see – and often hear! – in the playground how happy and safe the children feel: there are always staff around watching and ready to intervene if needed, but also interacting and having fun with the children.
If a parent or child has concerns, no matter how small it may seem, the school take time to listen and understand and work with the family to find solutions and ensure the right interventions are enacted, not only solving the issue but building trust and confidence and sting relationships between the school and the whole family.
Whilst no school (or workplace for that matter) is perfect, I am confident that when I send my child to school in the morning, he is going somewhere where he is safe, happy, confident to be himself and somewhere that will benefit him academically, emotionally and socially, and I don’t think that as a parent, you can ask for anything more.” – Sarah
“I would like to share with you how wonderful Miss Clarke has been for Beech class this year. His class had a tough time with no permanent teacher for most of year 2 and Miss Clarke had a challenge to settle a very boy heavy class into the new school.
Miss Clarke clearly got to know all of the individual members of the class quickly and is always smiling, positive and welcoming. The children really love her and I know Archie has certainly progressed well with his school work and confidence this year. When I have contacted Miss Clarke with problems my child has experienced she has always met me quickly with solutions and helped sort the issue out.” – Anna
“Holy Trinity Junior School has been an absolute blessing for our daughter and our family. The teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to support our daughter’s academic and personal growth. They have nurtured her confidence, helping her blossom from a shy and quiet child to a happy and outgoing one.
We are so grateful for their proactive approach to education. The school not only accommodates our daughter’s tutoring schedule but also provides personalised support that meets her individual needs.
When our family faced an unexpected medical emergency, the school’s understanding and flexibility were truly remarkable. Their ongoing support helped our daughter stay on track academically and emotionally during a challenging time.
We couldn’t be happier with the caring and dedicated staff at Holy Trinity. Their commitment to each child’s well-being is truly exceptional.” – Gemma
“Holy Trinity Junior School has been transformative for our son, who has complex additional needs. They have a deep understanding of his unique challenges and strengths, and they’ve created a learning environment where he truly thrives.
His teacher Miss Clark is nothing short of extraordinary. Our son describes her as the ‘best teacher ever,’ and we couldn’t agree more. She has a remarkable ability to connect with our son, fostering his love of learning and helping him reach his full potential.
The school’s structured environment and focus on individualised support have been instrumental in calming our son’s anxieties and promoting his emotional well-being. He is happier, more confident, and more engaged in his learning than ever before.
We are so grateful for the open communication and collaboration with the school staff. They truly listen to our concerns and work with us as partners in our son’s education. We couldn’t imagine a better school for our son.” – Martin
“My daughter is on the spectrum and started year 3 with little confidence but has blossomed throughout the year into a confident and popular girl with the help of her amazing teacher, class TA, SENCO and all the staff at the school.” – Emma
