Volunteering
We are keen for you to get involved in school whenyou have the time. This is really valuable to us.
Helping at school and being involved.
You can help:
- With reading or maths practice (times tables, number bonds)…don’t worry, training can be provided if needed.
- Volunteering to run another club.
- By getting involved with PFOS (Parents & Friends of School) to raise money for the school. (We meet regularly throughout the year to discuss events etc. usually on the first Friday of the month at 9.00am – and all dates will be notified in the newsletter)
- By contacting us when you are pleased about things
- By sharing your questions, views, ideas and suggestions and taking part in questionnaires.
- By supporting special events like Harvest, class assemblies and charity events
- By reading and responding to newsletters.
- Accompanying swimming and other trips out and about
IMPORTANT:
We expect all our volunteers to adhere to our Child Protection Policies and Procedures. When parents and carers are able to help in school on a regular basis, we will ask that they have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check. This is in line with national Safeguarding advice. Similarly, we ask that when parents and carers accompany a group of children on a school trip, that they have a DBS check.
