Refuse and Re-use · Make cloth bags and learn about buying bulk to reduce packaging; make cloth bags to sell. · Look at use of blue paper towels; use hand towels and wash once per week in school machine? (start with staff room and staff loos? · Use white vinegar cleaning solution rather than antibacterial wipes at lunchtime? · Buy Eco glue only – research
Reduce – energy use and reduce wasted food · Turn off lights whenever possible · Plan an electric free day once per half term? (Learn other skills?) · Monitor our monthly electric and gas use each month and set a target to beat compared with the previous year. · Agree school temperatures to be set in school and wear more clothes? · More focus on children choosing their food on the menu more carefully so we reduce wastage with food. |
