Prefects
In order to help children to become caring and responsible citizens who have positive attitudes towards the wellbeing of themselves and others, we give them opportunities to experience responsibilities which come with being a member of a community.
Year 6 prefects play an active role in the day to day organisation of our school and we regard these positions as very prestigious. The position of prefect not only allows Year 6 children to lead by example and demonstrate their responsibility, but also enables the younger children to learn from the fantastic examples that the prefects set.
Holy Trinity prefects lead by example at all times in their behaviour and attitude toward their responsibility. They show respect to others and take on many responsibilities, such as:
- Showing visitors around the school
- Tidying the PE shed
- Tidying the school
- Helping to sort out lost property
- Preparing the hall for assembly
- Giving out and collecting registers
The Year 6 teachers co-ordinate with the prefects termly to make sure jobs are running smoothly and that everyone who wanted to be a prefect has had the opportunity to do so.
