15 Jun Year 6 School Journey Week!
Last week, 61 Year 6 children visited PGL Marchant’s Hill for a week of sunny adventure. Their days were filled with archery, climbing, abseiling, zip wires, assault courses and raft building. They honed their rifle shooting and survival skills; went orienteering and explored tunnels; and experienced sensory deprivation and solved challenging puzzles.
They also ate a lot of food and managed to squeeze in a little bit of sleep as well!
Year 6 were an absolute credit to the school in their bravery, enthusiasm and behaviour.
The children, who stayed at school, spent their week carrying out some amazing and creative activities. These included: truffle making; pizza making; building Mayan masks with modroc and then painting them in their chosen style; team building games; a day full of sports and a year group picnic in the sun!
It was a fantastic week for all involved and the fun and enjoyment could be felt round school.
Well done to all of those children, whose behaviour still shone throughout the week! You all showed great resilience.
